“ I like to move slowly and with intent in the class. I love the freedom of the movement, combined with the challenge of the strength, and the focus of the mind. The movement of the body, connected to the mind and to the rhythm of the breath is freedom for the soul.”
“ The beauty of yoga is that it does not matter at what level any of us are in our practise, we can all share our space, knowledge, experience, energy, practise and connect with each other in our Yoga community. I love sharing the space, the Yoga and seeing the positive changes in the lives of the beautiful like-minded people who visit the studio.”
“I believe life has a way of pulling you exactly where you should be”.
My yoga journey started many years previous to arriving in Australia. Back in 2003, I have embarked on a trip to India to do a yoga teacher training course. That experience and travel around India planted a seed. But it wasn’t until thirteen years later my passion reignited and I commenced a journey as a yoga student and a yoga teacher.
I have completed over 800hrs of training included Vinyasa, Yin, Yin/Yang, Yin and Myofascial Release. I have trained under Yoga Institute in Mumbai, Power Living, Jo Phee, Sarah Powers and continues to be a student.
Yoga to me is a practice of self exploration without judgement or comparison to others. I love how individual we all are, how we all need to respect our bodies and ensure we have a safe practise that supports us throughout our life. I believe we all have different journeys and it’s a long haul not a quick trip.
“Challenge yourself … modify if you need to but make sure you look after yourself… and no matter what don’t loose connection with your breath”
My journey with yoga and Pilates started when my partner and I were sailing around the world. Once introduced I was fascinated by the holistic principles of Yoga and sought classes when ever the opportunity arose When we ended up in NZ I rediscovered my interest and attended classes regularly, unfortunately at this time some physical issues were starting to surface that yoga did not appease. That is when I discovered the benefits of Pilates. I knew nothing about the principles yet I could feel the benefits of regular practice and also the consequences of not practicing during holiday periods so knew this was what I needed.*
We moved back to Aus in 2016 and despite searching for pilates classes found nothing on offer within a reasonable driving time. I took up fitness classes, cardio/ resistance for mature adults, and although that helped, I was still in pain.
I decided to become a fitness instructor and then did my Matwork training with the very reputable Studio Pilates International in Brisbane. *Additional training in Small Ball ,Back Pain management , Ball Circle Band quickly followed .*
I had found my calling!
The method I teach is a rehabilitative, foundation style that will benefit anybody as it teaches core and hip stability as well as strengthening the smaller muscles in the body that support the joints. Offering different levels, options for injuries and varied classes utilising small equipment my classes are perfect for mature adults feeling the stresses in the body that time presents to us.
* Common comments after class; ‘I feel so much stronger “,” I could bounce out of bed this morning “, My pain is so much less” are welcome to my heart as * helping people to improve their bodies and knowing that others can benefit from these classes is my driving passion.
We are so proud to have witnessed her yoga journey since 2016! She started as a dedicated student and is now stepping out her comfort zone to teach and share her journey with the world.

“The human body is most beautiful when it is in movement - in flow” I believe the more we are able to get out of our head and into our bodies, the better we connect with ourselves and others. Connection is my work, mind-body-spirit, softness with strength and connecting the stillness we cultivate on the mat to our daily lives.
Learning Hatha yoga 5 years ago in Rishikesh, India gave me a great foundation into this spiritual practice. Now I continue to build on this by weaving intuitive & animal movement into class with powerful breath work practices.
I enjoy a strong yet gentle, flowing approach to postures.
I just returned back home from this year 2022! After living in Europe the last 4 years, learning new languages and new practices - I am grateful to be back here stepping into the fullness of my gifts and guiding others to do the same, in their unique way.
See you on the mat!
